Common Questions About Our Introduction Service
Is the service free?
Yes. Sending an enquiry and being introduced to a valuer costs you nothing, and you are under no obligation to go ahead. The valuer charges for the valuation itself, such as a formal insurance valuation, and tells you its fee before you instruct it. We may receive an introduction fee from the valuer if you instruct it.
How quickly will I hear back?
We reply by email, normally within one working day. Usually the reply introduces you to a valuer, who normally contacts you within one working day of the introduction to discuss what you need and give you a quote. If a valuation would cost close to what your item is worth, for example a 9ct gold ring you plan to sell, we tell you so and suggest a cheaper way to find out its value. You can still ask for the introduction.
What information do I need to provide?
Your name, email address, the type of item and where you are (a town or postcode). Anything else helps the valuer quote accurately: why you need the valuation, the metal, stones, brand and condition, and any previous valuations or receipts.
